Meet Tara and Trisha: Young Musicians Redefining the Entertainment Landscape

Tara and Trisha, the dynamic twin sisters from Bangalore who, at just 16 years old, have already made a significant impact in the music and entertainment industry.
With a diverse repertoire of eight original songs, extensive performance history, and collaborations with industry legends, they are not merely rising stars; they are established artists poised for greater heights.

From their early years, music has been the lifeblood of Tara and Trisha's existence. Their journey began at the tender age of three, singing in church and participating in community events, where they first showcased their natural talent. By five, they were immersed in music theory, and Trisha distinguished herself in her first musical performance examination, ranking among the top achievers in Bangalore, with Tara following closely behind.

At the age of ten, they formed their first girl band, quickly becoming the go-to group for musical performances at school events and local gatherings. Their talents were further highlighted when they were cast in their school’s production of “In the Heights,” where they gained valuable experience in full-fledged stage productions. Their ability to effortlessly decipher and perform complex five-part harmonies by ear at just ten years old set them apart, demonstrating a level of musicality that was nothing short of extraordinary.

By the age of twelve, Tara and Trisha began receiving paid performance offers and quickly made a name for themselves in local competitions, building a strong brand in their hometown. Tara’s improvisational skills were recognized by the director of the production she auditioned for, who declared her audition the best he had seen in his 15 years of experience. Her talent for creating characters and engaging audiences through improvisation led her to secure the lead role in a local production of “School of Rock,” where she delivered a spellbinding rendition of “Amazing Grace.”

Trisha, in her supporting role, captivated audiences with her powerful performances.

Their breakthrough came during the lockdown when a video of Tara’s performance caught the attention of Broadway composer Mark Schoenfeld. Her rendition of “Via Dolorosa” was so impactful that he initially thought she was 18. Schoenfeld, a seasoned Broadway composer, producer and talent manager with a rich history in Hollywood, praised her emotive vocal delivery and invited her to audition for his upcoming production, “Music Boy” where she secured the one of the lead roles.

Tara excelled in this opportunity, showcasing her vocal versatility across various genres, singing in English, Hindi, French, Italian, Spanish, and Hebrew.

In parallel, Trisha mesmerized audiences with her distinctive low and husky tones—an exceptional quality for a girl her age. Together, the sisters create a unique musical synergy that can only be described as magic.

Recognized as the talent of the future, Tara and Trisha were flown out to LA where they were introduced to a network of esteemed producers and musicians. Their musical and acting talent shone through from their very first note. As a result, they were signed by one of the world’s leading talent agencies, United Talent Agency.

Their collaborations span a variety of notable figures, including alumni from Berklee, Broadway composers, and lyricists who have worked with stars like the Jonas Brothers and Sofia Carson. The songs they co-compose and produce reflect a rich diversity of influences, blending pop, dance pop, and ballads. Thematically, their music explores their journeys, aspirations, and the essence of being teenage girls in today’s world, weaving in elements of Indian heritage, love, and the joys of friendship.

At just 16, Tara and Trisha have collaborated with leading professionals in acting, improv script writing, composition, and dance, captivating audiences with their performances across multiple cities. Their extensive tutelage under industry legends—including the creator of “Toy Story,” the producer and director of acclaimed children’s television productions, and judges from shows like “So You Think You Can Dance”—has deepened their understanding of the intricate workings of the entertainment industry.

Beyond their artistic talents, Tara and Trisha are committed to giving back to their community. They embody the role of cultural ambassadors with grace and wisdom beyond their years, understanding that their impact extends beyond music. They are dedicated to representing their culture, values, and the unbreakable bond of sisterhood. They are not just prodigious artists; they are inspiring young individuals who fuse talent, culture, and purpose. Their art celebrates diversity while crafting a fresh narrative that speaks to today’s generation.
